Windsor kicked off their revamped Hellenic League Chalenge Cup campaign with a 3-2 win away at Wokingham & Emmbrook.
Despite the visitors early pressure it was the hosts that took the lead when Ellis Day headed in Nick Bateman's corner.
Windsor pushed for an eaqualiser and came close when Matthew Ayres forced Sean Woodward into a fine save.
The scores were levelled just before half time when the home defence failed to get the ball clear from a corner which was eventually struck into the net by Luke Paris.
The second half started much like the first with Windsor pusing their hosts only to concede.
Liam Eagle's through ball foun Day with only Sam Butcher to beat and slid the ball past the Windsor keeer.
Windsor again pushed for an equaliser which they eventually found when Keaton August was quickest to react to Paris' flick on from a free kick.
Deep into injury time and it looked as if the points would be shared. That was until Ben Smyth managaed to flick the ball on for Bryan Taylor to slam home at the far post.
Up next for Windsor is a trip to Holyport on Saturday with the kick off time to be confirmed.
