Windsor made it safely through to the next round of the Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup seeing off Alton Town 2-1.
In a less than inspirational tie, Windsor were looking to end a run of defeats which has seen them lose their last 2 matches.
It didn't take Windsor too long to get going with Adam Kirby heading in Robert Lazarczuk's 10th minute corner.
It wasn't until the second half that they doubled their lead thanks to a bit of luck when Alton keeper Joe Brock inadvertently headed into his own net after Ben Harris had already headed against the bar.
Brock's poor luck was rounded off in the final minutes when his hesitant clearance rebounded off of Owen Richardson and all the keeper could do was watch the ball roll into the net.
