Windsor's U18's made it through to the Berks & Bucks Youth Cup Final after beating Flackwell Heath on penalties.

The two sides had shared the earlier league meetigs a win a piece and this was Windsor's last real chance of any silverware this season.

Windsor managed to take a rather fortuatous lead when Jake Dawes took a free kick from just inside his own half and the ball bounced up infront of keeper Isaac Hay, over his head and into the net.

Windsor pushed for a second and in the process left themselves exposed leaving Henry Schofield with a easy tap-in to equalise just before half-time.

It looked as if Windsor would settle the tie in normal time when the Flackwell defence tried to clear the ball which rebounded off of Ted Woodisse and headed goalward.

Woodisse tried to help the ball into the net but only succeeded in preventing the goal when his effort was blocked and as Louis Payne came onto the loose ball he was brought down by Matthew Surmon and a penalty awarded.

Dawes stepped up to take the penalty which was well save down to the keepers left by Hay.

After 11 minutes of time added on the only way this tie was being decided was by penalties.

Leo Decabo stepped up first for Flackwell and his effort was saved by Michael Edegbe, Joe Payne stepped up for Windsor and made no mistake with his effort.

Ben Fraser (Flackwell), Jack Lynch (Windsor) and Henry Schofield (Flackwell) all cooly dispatched their spot kicks before Dawes saw his second penalty of the match saved.

Firas Chniba (Flackwell) and Lewis Bennett (Windsor) both netted while Sam Coles (Flackwell), Jamie Wakelin (Windsor) and Ashley Howell (Flackwell) all have their efforts saved.

The final kick of the match fell to Windsor skipper Adam McLaughlin who made no mistake slotting the ball past Hay.

Windsor will now face Thatcham Town in the final on a date to be confirmed.
