Windsor Res suffered to their heaviest defeat of the season with a disastrous defensive performance against title chasing Chalvey Sports.
a depleted and much changed Windsor Res lose 7-2 to a ruthless Chalvey who keep their hopes of the title still very much alive. Windsor Res suffered their 4th consecutive defeat in as many games.
Windsor started the game the brightest in horrible conditions, Windsor dominated the early possession but could not create any clear cut chances and despite some nice moves failed with some close offside decisions. Chalvey made the break as the make shift Windsor back line switched off which allowed the Chalvey striker to sneak in and head home past the Windsor keeper Moiz Rana, before Windsor could settle chalvey made it 2-0 as again Windsor failed to pick up from a set piece which allowed Chalvey to score a easy goal. Windsor were not helping themselves at the back and more mistakes led to two further goals as Chalvey went into a 4-0 lead into the break. Windsors best chance of the half fell to captain Owen Richardson but his effort was just of target with the keeper beaten.
Windsor regrouped at half time and made some tactical changes and were the better team in the 2nd half, Windsor had a goal ruled out for offside as Owen Richardson scored but the referee disallowed the goal, as Windsor went chasing a goal massive gaps were left at the back and the strong Chalvey attack made them pay as they got a 5th with a simple finish as the Windsor defense went AWOL, Windsor did get a goal back as a nice move involving substitute Nash Mohammed put through Nabil Douhi who squared for Cheyenne Cripps to score in the empty net, Windsor again fell asleep as Chalvey made it 6-1 moments later, Windsor then pulled another goal back as Cripps turned provider as his corner was touched home by Douhi, but it was Chalvey who had the final say on the game and again poor Windsor defending saw a free header for the Chalvey player to make it 7-2 and run out easy winners. Windsor will be hoping to recover and get back to winning ways as they travel to bottom of the league KS Gryf this Saturday.
