Windsor kicked-off their pre-season schedule with a narrow 1-2 defeat against BetVictor Southern Premier South side Hayes & Yeadin United.
Manager Mick Woodham started with a familiar back four from last season and put faith in 16 year old Ted Woodisse to partner Jack Gibson, another 16 year old.
Windsor got off to a fine start when Kingsley Etefi was up-ended in the box allowing Jamie Di Giuseppe to slam his spot kick in off the underside of the bar.
Another youngster made an entrance early in the match when 17 year old Syd Woods replaced the injured Luke Brooks-Smith.
Hayes & Yeading weren't going to allow their lower league opposition to have it all their own way and were level mid-way through the half when Toby Little slammed home from just inside the area.
Half time saw numerous changes from the visitors and one inparticular may have wished he hadn't been brought on.
Keeper Jack Smith was replaced by one of many trialists at half time and a momentory lapse in concentration saw him handle outside the area and pick up a red card.
Windsor continued to bring on their youngsters throughout the match with Jordan Sykes coming on a half time and Dom Bannon and Dean Qevani coming on during the second half.
Despite their hard work Windsor were to be denied a justified draw when Troy Tomithy made the most of a mistake at the back to slot past Hugo Sobte.
Windsor will go again when they travel to Holyport on Thursday evening.
