Windsor had to settle for a draw in their penultimate pre-season friendly against Southern League Division 1 Central side Ashford Town (Mx).
On a less than flat surface at Eton Town, it was the visitors who unsurprisingly started the stronger.
A rare mistake from Rob Bullivant allowed Ashford a chance but the shot was deflected wide of the post.
Ashford took the lead mid-way through the half when Bullivant did well to turn a deflected shot onto the bar but could do nothing about leaving Pietro Pallalino with an easy finish.
Going behind seemed to wake the Windsor players up and were almost level within minutes after a poor goal kick saw Ben Porter set up Ryan O'Toole but he was unable to get past the Ashford keeper.
Windsor did find a way through moments later when Joe Chandiram's cross fell nicely for Porter who fired past the keeper and into the net.
Although low on chances, both sides could have won the match in the second half.
Ashford were denied a penalty when Dave Tilbury pulled a player down in the area followed by them hitting the post in the closing moments.
In-between those chances Kane Jones burst down the right hand side and is low cross was missed by everyone except Brandon Blair at the far post but he was denied by a fine save.
