Windsor FC's first pre-season run out ended on a positive note with a 3-1 win over Harefield United.
A mixture of the Combined Counties, East Berks and Allied Counties sides made up the squad for the match with few disappointments.
It was one of those looking to prove himself that made an early impact.
Dan Malloy was on hand to put away Kane Jones' low cross after just 7 minutes.
Minutes later Malloy added a second when Jones' ball into the box was headed across goal by Robert Lazarczuk giving Malloy and easy finish.
Malloy could have completed a hat-trick within 20 minutes but this time he could only watch as the ball came back off the bar.
Windsor's third came mid-way through the first half when Matthew Edwards fired a header past the keeper from a Jamie DiGiuseppe corner.
Plenty of changes in the second half failed to change the score until the final minutes when Harfield pulled a goal back.
