Windsor's pre-season preparations continue to gain momentum with an well deserved 2-1 win over BSB Conference South side Hayes & Yeading Utd.
Windsor started brightly and could have been ahead in the opening minutes when Robert Lazarczuk played in George Gould who managed to lob Craig Bradshaw and the cross bar.
Gould then headed just wide from a Jason Sheehan cross before Hayes almost got ahead.
Tom Bird struck a free kick from just outside the area but was denied by a full stretched Carl Dennison.
As the half drew on Windsor looked the more likely to score and when the Hayes defence failed to clear a Lazarczuk free kick Dan Hicks was on hand to slot the ball low past Bradshaw.
Hayes managed to pull level on the stroke of half time when a mistake by Hicks allowed Luke Medley in to beat Dennison.
The second half saw Windsor again start strongly with the Lazarczuk and Gould partnership almost producing a second Windsor goal.
Gould was put through but again managed to fire just over the bar.
Hicks then denied Bird with a goal-line clearance before Windsor re-took the lead.
Lazarczuk again setup Gould and this time the combination paid off with Gould slotting past Bradshaw.A final few changes from both sides failed to change the score as Windsor held on for a deserved win.
