Windsor signed off their pre-season preparations with a home defeat against Blue Square Conference South side Hayes & Yeading Utd.
Windsor's much depleted squad due to holiday's and injuries took on a strong Hayes & Yeading squad and gave a good account of themselves in hot conditions.
It didn't take long for Hayes & Yeading to get ahead in the match with Johnny Goddard striking form the edge of the area to beat Rob Bullivant.
The lead was soon doubled by former Windsor & Eton player Victor Osubu when he hit an fantastic free kick past Bullivant.
Windsor showed glimpses of getting back into the match and when Ryan O'Toole was out through by Chris Ellis he only had James Beasant to beat but only managed hit the ball straight at the keeper.
An earlier clash of heads forced Hayes & Yeadings first change as am Cox replaced Gareth Risbridge.
Windsor were also forced into an early change when Leeyon Phelan was replaced by Michael Jahodnik after picking up what looks like a cruciate ligament injury.
Windsor came close to halving the deficit on the stroke of half time when Andrew Fagan got his head on the end of Ryan Ashe's free kick only for the ball to go the wrong side of the post.
Hayes & Yeading made 6 half time changes as they continued to make Windsor work hard for any kid of result.
Early second half chances saw a goalmouth scarmble in the Windsor area which finally ended with Chris Ellis clearing Kudus Oyenaga's off the line.
The result was beyond doubt in the closing moments when Oyenaga managed to slip the ball past Bullivant but Windsor weren't going to finish without a final saying in the score line.
Ben Porter stepped up and hit a free kick low into the corner of James Beasants net.
