Saturday 23rd October 2021Windsor had to settle for a share of the points as they twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Holyport.
With the unavailable list continuing to grow Windsor were forced to bring back Luke Appleton earlier than expected along with a return for Bryan Taylor and new signing Ethan Etukudo.
It would be the visitors that would take the lead on the half hour when Steve Deverall's long ball out of defence eluded Josue Antonio allowing Dan Rapley to race through and slot the ball past Sam Butcher.
Windsor appeared to start the second half with more purpose and just before the hour they drew level. Bryan Taylor managed to work space on the left and his low cross was turned in by Etukudo.
The hosts then had a penalty claim turned away when Etukudo was brought down before once again finding themselves behind.
Dan Rapley managed to break down the left before squaring the ball to the edge of the area where George Lock slotted low into the corner.
Windsor pushed hard to get back level and came very close when Ben Hall's curling effort was tipped over the bar by Mattea Giacobbe.
They did manage to pull level deep into injury time when Taylor's long ball was totally misjudged by Giacobbe allowing Etukudo an easy finish.
Up next for Windsor is a trip to Wembley on Saturday 30th October, kick-off 3pm.
