Saturday 12th December 2020Windsor's retun to league actions ended in a 2-0 win away at high flying Reading City.
Windsor manager Mark Cooper welcomed some new faces to his squad with Karl Stevenson, Tom Scott and Charlie Samuel all going into the starting IX.
Both sides started well but it was the visitiors that appeared to have the better of the early going.
Chances were at a premium as the majority of the match was played out in the middle of the park. Challenges were hard and plentifull as the card count started to mount.
Windsor managed to get a hold on the game and took the lead on 30 minutes when Keaton August's cross was met by the head of Billy Montague only to be spilled by Charlie York giving Danny Horscroft an easy finish.
The visitiors finished the half strongly with both Samuel and August testing York, both unable to extend the lead.
Reading City started well in the second half with Mo Davies testing Nojus Trinovas early on and creating chances which ended with poor finishing.
Samuel came close to doubling the lead when his effort from close rage came back off the bar.
Things were made harder for the hosts when tyler D'Cruz was show a straight red card for a thigh high challenge on Karl Stevenson.
Windsor started to make the extra man count and on 69 minutes doubled their lead when Samuel fired in.
Windsor continued to push to put the result beyond doubt and hung on for a much deservered and needed three points.
