Windsor made it safely through to the next round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win away at Aylesbury Vale Dynamos.
After 181 days since their last competitive outing, Windsor were looking to make a winning return and they did just that.
A coulple of early scares from the hosts were quickly forgotten when Adam McNanamara chased down a ball over the top forcing a poor clearance from Archie Davis allowing Billy Montague to fire in from 30 yards.
The pace of the Windsor attack was an issue throughout the night for the home defence but for all the chance Windsor couldn't extend their lead.
Aylesbury started to look a bit more dangerous at the start of the second half forcing Nojus Trinovas in to action in the Windsor goal.
With the game flowing from one end to the other Windsor were handed the perfect opportunity to put daylight between themselves and their hosts when Dan Wilson brought down Montague in the box with the Windsor striker netting from the spot.
It looked like Windsor were set for a comfortable finish until substitute Kevin Owusu's deflected cross managed to beat Trinovas to give the hists a glimmer of hope.
As the match moved into the closing stages tempers started to fray and an altercation on the touchline saw Windsor substitute Ryan Avery get booked along with Mangaer Mark Cooper and Aylesbury Manager Phil Granville.
After almost 10 minutes of added time Windsor held on to setup a meeting with Wantage Town on Saturday 12th September.
