Saturday 5th October 2019Windsor picked up their first league away win of the season with a hard fought 4-2 victory at Royal Wootton Bassett Town.
There were more new faces on show for Windsor with Andrew Higgins joining from Mervue United (Ireland) and Excellence Mahumba from Harrow Borough.
It as a frantic opening 10 minutes with both sides showing they were desperate to get an early hold on the game.
The hosts forced a series corners with no real end product to show for them.
They did come close though when Terence Bohane curled an effort round Sonny Wheeler only for the ball to come back off the post.
Despite being under pressure it was Windsor who took the lead through Mahumba. Wheeler's long ball beat the home defence allowing the former Harrow man to lift the ball over Jamie Rae and into the net.
Chances came at bothe ends but it was the hosts that managed to draw level when Alfie Presley stuck from the edge of the box to beat Wheeler.
Just before the stroke of half time Windsor were forced into an early change when Keaton August suffered an ankle injury when his effort was blocked.
A further change at half time saw Geroge Gould replace Josh Adjei as Windsor looked to tighten things up and push for the win.
Windsor got themselves back in front on the hour when Dylan Ive's corner kick was perfectly delivered to be met by the head of a diving Andrew Ingram.
Ive turned provider again when his effort was saved by Rae only for the ball to end up at the feet of Kingsley Etefia who fired in.
Ive completed his hat-trick of assists just minutes later when his corner was sweetly struck home by Luke Brooks-Smith.
The hosts were able to claw a goal back in injury time when Bohane tapped in from close range after some late pressure.
