Tuesday 20th August 2019Windsor picked up their first points of the season with a well deserved 5-1 at home against Holmer Green.
Interim manger Luke Brooks-Smith named the same starting line-up that picked up the first win just days previously against Woodley United.
The visitors had the better of the early chances but there was nothing to really threaten the hosts goal until a deflected effort from Oliver Lynch looped over Sonny Wheeler and into the net.
It wasn't long before Windsor pulled level when individual persistance by Jay O'Connell allowed him to bend the ball into the bottom corner past Matthew Landan.
The hosts were soon in the lead when O'Connell was quickest to react to Adam Kirby's flick on, sliding the ball under Landan.
Just after the hour Windsor extended their lead when Landan came for a free kick and ended up in no-mans-land allowing O'Connell to lift the ball in for Andrew Ingram to finish.
It was then a night of firsts as substitutes Ben Smyth and Adam Forder bith came on to get their first club goals.
Windsor will be hoping to carry on their current form on Bank Holiday Monday when they are 'away' to Virginia Water.
