Veteran Barry Hayles secured a point for Windsor against Fairford Town in a match that saw both sides down to 10 men.
Windsor welcomed their Gloucestershire visitors to Stag Meadow on a beautiful sunny Bank Holiday Saturday. The goals and points shared.
Surprisingly, Windsor were slow to start and in all honesty rarely threatened the visitors goal in the first half.
Kieran Knight, playing at centre half came closest to breaking the deadlock with a header from an Ashley Smith corner.
Hayles fired tamely at the Fairford keeper and Jack Denton fired wide following good work from Coyne.
Both sides were reduced to ten men before the break, Clack shown two yellow cards, the same fate suffered by the Fairford fullback in the same incident.
The second half followed the same pattern with the away side happy to contain and Windsor not doing enough in front of goal.
The game burst into life with 15 minutes to play. Losing the ball in an attacking position, Windsor were punished with an excellent Fairford breakaway goal. Sobte beaten with an exquisite chip.
Refusing to be beaten Windsor sparked and came close to equalising through Shafi, Brooks-Smith and Hayles.
Hayles did equalise with a brave diving header in the 87th minute.
Windsor still had time for Hayles to drag a shot wide and substitute Cheyenne Cripps miss with a header from close range.
On another day Windsor could have scored five, but Fairford worked hard and probably felt they earned their point.
