Windsor FC suffered a rare defeat and missed the chance to go second in the table after a 1-0 home loss against Mole Valley SCR.

Windsor started strongly enough and were denied an early penalty shout when Bradley Grant pulled down Ryan O'Toole.

They were then forced into an early change after a heavy challenge on Ben Porter shortly before and enforced change for the visitors.

A clash of heads between Dave Tilbury and Jake Richards left the Mole's forward on the floor.

After initial treatment he was eventually stretchered off before being taken to hospital by ambulance with suspected concussion.

Windsor should have gone in ahead at the break when first O'Toole fired over and then in injury time both Joe Chandiram and Dave Tilbury had headers well saved.

The second half again saw Windsor with chances but unable to convert and when George Gould's effort his the wrong side of the post it was always going to be one of those days.

From there on Mole Valley got themselves on top and should have taken the lead when Paul Webber crossed for Luke Harmsworth and he shot over an open goal.

They did take a deserved lead minutes later when a Windsor attack broke down allowing Liam Holden to break through making no mistake in beating Rob Bullivant.

The lead should have been doubled moments later when Holden picked out Luke Harmsworth but his effort was somehow tipped round the post by Bullivant.

Windsor tried to push to get back into the match but Valley held on to claim a much needed victory.
