Windsor snatched all 3 points thanks to a last minute Aaron Minhas strike to beat Chessington & Hook Utd 3-2 at Chalky Lane.
On a Surprisingly sunny day Windsor made the trip to Chalky Lane looking to get back to winning ways in the league. Windsor took the lead on 23 minutes when George Gould neatly slotted home from Lucas's through ball, but the lead wasn't to last long as minutes later Chessington & Hook were back level from a twice taken penalty, and then took the lead when a free kick wide on the right found its way in off the far post. Windsor equalised just before half time when Hicks prodded in from an inch after a goal bound header had been stopped on the line.
The 2nd half wasn't for the purists as for 35 minutes both sides had just one shot on goal. In fact the most noticeable feature was the interplay between the referee and one of his assistants. Or lack of it. Bizarrely the man in the middle kept over-ruling the flag. The most amusing moment coming when the assistant referee appeared to head-butt the corner flag in amused frustration when an obvious goal kick was given as a corner to Windsor.
The game was eventually decided by a wonder strike from Aaron Minhas with only a minute remaining. Standing right behind the shot it was top corner goal bound as soon as it left his boot. A terrific strike to end a difficult game, although there was still time for C&H to go down the other end and hit the post.
