Fiona Devine is welcomed to Windsor FC's grounds

Follow the stag and you cannot go wrong.

That was advice happily taken by Windsor mum Fiona Devine when she visited Stag Meadow, the home of Windsor Football Club on Monday.

Fiona is the founder of the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service, a charity set up in memory of her son to raise money for a children's hospice. On Monday a new community partnership between the charity and Windsor FC was launched in style. Club founding director Kevin Stott and its mascot Scotty the stag welcomed Fiona to Stag.

Guests included the Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead Cllr Colin Rayner and the Mayoress Samantha Rayner.

Also there was the charity's own mascot - a handsome dolphin, who will soon be the centre of a competition to find him a name.

During the evening a friendly match between Windsor Football Club and visiting Wycombe Wanderers ended in a 3-1 victory for the visitors.
