Hospice charity teams with Windsor FC
A charity set up to build a children's hospice has teamed up with a popular football club to achieve its 'goal'. The Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service was launched by Windsor mum Fiona Devine in memory of her son. A site near Maidenhead for the planned hospice has already been donated. On Monday Fiona will join Windsor Football Club founding director Kevin Stott at the club's home in Stag Meadow, St Leonard's Road to launch their new community partnership. It will be quite an evening, beginning at 6.30pm with Alexander Devine supporters Pop Goes the Choir entertaining, before the club plays its first friendly game of the season against Wycombe Wanderers at 7.30pm Windsor FC boss Keith Stott said: “It’s a great charity and Monday night should be a great evening. “We should be wearing our new shirts with the new logo on the front and we’re hoping the weather will be good and we’ll have a big crowd in." Fiona said: "We are hoping for a winning night." Courtesy of Windsor Express |
