Windsor Lose Out To Wycombe
Windsor came close to causing an upset in their latest pre-season outing losing out 3-1 to Wycombe Wanderers. Windsor were almost gifted a dream start when a mistake in the visiting defence allowed Ben Harris through and having already gone round Matt Ingram couldn't quite turn the ball in. A couple of further half chances couldn't prevent Wycombe taking the lead when Windsor failed to get the ball clear leaving Lee Angol to slam home from 10 yards. Windsor managed to level in the later stages of the half when Ben Harris managed to find a way through before hitting low past Ingrham. The second half saw changes to both sides and mid-way through the half almost saw Windsor take the lead when Harris sent a free kick just over the bar. Windsor did their best to hold off League 2 opponents but when the ball fell kindly for Olly Taylor Wycombe were once again ahead. Just minutes later veteran Gareth Ainsworth added a third with a low drive fron the edge of the area. Windsor came close to pulling a goal back but Ingram did well to deny James Houghton. |
