Defeat in Final Friendly
Windsor suffered a 2-0 defeat at Hellenic League Premier Division side Flackwell Heath in their final pre-season friendly. A lack of chances throughout the match left those few wondering if anyone was going to find the net. Adam Harman headed a Harry Pritchard free kick wide followed later in the half by a fine double save from Rob Bullivant. He first denied Harman and when Kyle Anthony failed to clear the ball properly he then did well to deny Adam Paget. Windsor's only real chance of the half came late on when Ben Hudell struck from distance but just wide of the post. A string of changes by both sides failed to make any real impact until the final 10 minutes. A mistake by Mark Banfry in the Heathen's left Grant Kemp with an open goal and from 30 yards out sent the ball high and wide. Minutes later at the other end and the match was handed to Flackwell when Brandon Blair brought down Ryan Adams conceding a penalty. Danny Jordan stepped up and made no mistake in converting the spot kick. Into injury time and the result was confirmed when Geoff Nalumoso's cross found Pritchard and he blasted past Bullivant. |
