Windsor FC mascot Scotty the Stag continued with his busy close season schedule this week.
The big hearted stag was delighted to accept an invitation from the Windsor Rotary Club to take his Penalty Shoot Out game to their Annual Fayre on Alexandra Gardens.
Scotty faced a barrage of spot kicks in order to raise funds for his friends at Thames Hospicecare in Windsor. Scotty was kept very busy as he faced over 400 penalties, although he still found time for some of his usual antics.
Unfortunately being an English goalkeeper he let in a fair few more than he saved !!
In total Scotty managed to raise ??136, so it was well worth the examination of his dodgy goalkeeping technique.
Scotty was a big hit with locals and tourists alike, but especially so with the large numbers of children who were in attendance at the fayre.
As luck would have it, Scotty will actually get to present his earnings to Thames Hospicecare in person this Saturday as the last stop on his whirlwind Summer Tour is the Thames Hospicecare Summer Fair at Windsor Girls School. The fair kicks off at 11am.
Neil Mounch from Windsor FC Supporters Club commented "Windsor FC and Scotty the Stag are always delighted to be able to take part in such a fantastic fayre. The Rotary Club do such a great job in putting it all together. It always gives us the considerable honour of being able to raise some funds for our friends at Thames Hospicecare. They're a great local charity and we really value the work they do for our local community. I'm sure they will put our hard earned ??136 to good use. I know Scotty thoroughly enjoyed his afternoon and he has made a lot of new friends. As an organisation Windsor FC and the Supporters Club are very keen to help important local community facilities such as Thames Hospicecare wherever it's possible for us to do so. We're very much looking forward to the THc fair on Saturday. Scotty particularly would love to see you all there, so get off the sofa and come and join us."
