Windsor FC boss Keith Scott admits star striker Michael Chennells is in talks with other clubs but says he is hopeful he may decide to stay at Stag Meadow.
Scott brought Chennells to Windsor from Brackley halfway through last season and he scored 25 times in just 22 games.
But his performances didn't go unnoticed and Slough Town and Chesham United are both now chasing his signature.
Scott said: "I know Chesham and Slough have both spoken to Michael, they've both made him fantastic offers.
"Michael has been training with us, we've had a long chat about things and he hasn't made his mind up yet.
"His motivation is not money, it never has been and it never will be. All he wants to do is play for a club that is going places.
"Michael's decision will come down to which club he believes is moving in the right direction."
The Windsor boss added: "Michael is a tremendous footballer. Whoever gets him will be very lucky.
"Whether it is Slough, Chesham or he stays with us, he knows I will always want what is best for him.
"I think he feels that because it didn't work out for him at Brackley, he has something to prove to himself but I don't think he does.
"He is a great lad and hopefully he will decide to stay with us. We will see what happens but I expect he will make a decision by the end of the weekend."
As well as Chennells, Scott's other star striker from last season has also been attracting interest.
Ryan O'Toole, who scored 43 goals in all competitions, has been approached by several interested parties.
"I know there is interest in Ryan," said Scott. "There is interest in a lot of my players and I would expect nothing less.
"Is it something I could do without? Yes. But I also take it as credit for us and the team we have put together."
