PAUL COYNE COMMITS FOR ANOTHER SEASON
Friday 15th June 2018

WINDSOR midfielder Paul Coyne has committed to the club for another year after a successful first season at Stag Meadow.

Coyne, 32, made 39 appearances for Windsor last season, helping them achieve eighth position in the Hellenic Premier Division and reach the quarter-finals of the FA Vase.

He told the Observer: "I enjoyed it last season so we will see how the new one goes and if we can do any better in the cups and the league.

"We did very well in the cups last season but it's a shame that we could not go that extra step. Maybe that's a stepping stone for the young lads.

"They will know what they need to do next year to push on, and to be contenders in the league as well instead of sitting in mid-table and being happy with it.

"I'm committed to another season with Windsor but will have a chat with Mick Woodham (manager) again.

"Due to work and things like that it's going to be a bit difficult week-in-week-out, but I'll try to do my best for the club.

Coyne scored a first career hat-trick in a man-of-the-match performance for the Darren Wilkinson XI during the Slough Town Legends Match on Saturday.

He commented: "It was really good and nice to catch up with all the lads. There were a few bellies knocking around but we're still having fun and trying to kick a football around, so I really enjoyed it.

"I don't think I've ever scored a hat-trick but I'm still trying to run around a bit over at Windsor."
