Windsor FC Youth Under 15's were looking to get into an unprecedented third successive Berks & Bucks County Cup Final and were given the use of a beautiful Stag Meadow pitch for their semi-final v Abingdon Town.
After a cat and mouse first half where chances were limited Windsor came out after the break ready to play football.
Getting their inspiration from the crowd including 1st team manager Mick Woodham who was one of the most successful youth team managers in Windsor before graduating to the Under 18's and then blazing a trail into the first team with some former Windsor Youth players.
The rout started from a rare left-foot powered Aaron Maggs shot from outside the box saved by the 'keeper followed up by Josh Kelly saved again then the rebound came back to Aaron Maggs who slotted it home.
Next came an Aaron Maggs corner that found Charlie Barnett's head to make it 2-0.
3-0 came from a delightful cross from Miles Young to Josh Kelly who headed it in to the top corner. Abingdon seemed to lose heart and conceded a free kick just outside the box and up stepped captain Charlie Barnett to strike it low and hard in to the bottom left corner.
The final goal came from another great Aaron Maggs ball into the box which the keeper thought he had until his defender clipped it and Alfie Stacey was on the line to tap it in. Job done.
The final will be played on Sunday March 30th, kicking off at 14.00hrs at Buckingham Athletic Football Club, Stratford Fields, Stratford Road, Buckingham, MK18 1NY.
